The Seniors division is designed for players Little League ages 15 and 16 (Spring 2026: as of 8/31/26), providing an advanced level of competition on a full-size baseball field (aka, "60/90", meaning, 60' to the pitching rubber and 90' base paths). GAMES & PRACTICES

The Seniors program runs from May to June, after the high school baseball seasons, and includes 10-18 games. Games are held twice a week, with a mix of weeknight and weekend games, and may include games outside San Francisco against other Bay Area Little League teams. In late June, an All-Star team is formed to compete against other teams.

Equipment

SFLL will provide each team with the equipment necessary for games and practices.  Equipment that will be provided to each team includes helmets, bats, balls, and a uniform shirt and hat for each player. Items that typically need to be purchased by the parent include a glove, baseball/softball pants, and cleats. Some parents may also choose to purchase a helmet and/or bat for their child to use.

SFLL offers equipment assistant to any family in need.  Contact your player agent if you need help getting equipment for your player.

VOLUNTEERING

Volunteers are the backbone of our program; we depend on every family to support to the league in one way or another.

SFLL's network of volunteers come together with a common purpose and goal: to provide a positive and supportive baseball and softball learning experience for all SFLL players. We know first-hand that volunteering will be a fun and easy way to contribute to a quality baseball experience for all.  Simply put, the more involved you are, the more fun both you and your child will have!

Throughout the season, there will be a variety of opportunities for everyone to participate and contribute to the success of our teams and league, from coaching, to scorekeeping, to volunteering to help with a special event.

SFLL provides our volunteer coaches with a curriculum of activities focused on fun, fitness, and fundamentals that can be implemented during practices and games.  We also offer coaches a robust training program including in-person coaching clinics, Positive Coaching Alliance training, and more.  Learn more about volunteering.

GROUP REQUESTS, TEAM DRAFTS

There are no group or team assignment requests in the Seniors division.

Teams are formed through a player draft attended by the division coaches. Spring teams are typically drafted in mid-to-late April and your coach will reach out to shortly after the draft.

SFLL reserves the right to place kids into a division based on skills, safety and overall balance of the division.
