Senior League Baseball is for teens age 14-16 (birthdates between 9/1/2006 - 8/31/2009) who want to play fun, competitive baseball in San Francisco. We have small teams of 14 players, use 10-person lineups (an extra hitter), and each player is guaranteed at least 4 complete games.
Teens who played on their high school baseball team can continue to play ball in May and June, getting LOTS of at-bats and playing time.
Teens who do not play on school teams can still enjoy a season of baseball.
What does the Senior League experience entail?
- The community and camaraderie you expect from SFLL - making new friends and lifelong memories
- PLENTY of at-bats and opportunities to play multiple fielding positions
- Open pickup games & practices in late April
- Season starting early May (after public high school Frosh-Soph season is done) and ending approx early July 2024
- 1 practice per week
- 2 games per week (10-12 games for season) - some weeks both games on weeknights, some weeks one game on weekend, and will likely include a couple 'travel' games to play other Bay Area Senior League teams
In late June, we intend to form an All-Star team to compete in the global tournament which culminates in the Senior League World Series in Easley South Carolina.
