FALL BALL BEGINS

Dear Little League Community,

Welcome back to Fall Ball with SFLL!  For those members who are new to our program, we are so glad to have you joining our community.   We have over 800 kids playing in our league this season!

Fall is traditionally a teaching season for us, an opportunity to focus on skill development and prepare the players for the coming spring in their new division.  During our weekly meet-ups teams will spend some time working in a practice format and some time scrimmaging on the field with another cohort.  Scores are not kept and standings are not recorded during fall ball.

New this season, we are expanding our fall programming to offer weeknight skills clinics to fall players in our kid pitch divisions.  Clinics will take place on Tuesday nights at Fort Scott Field over five weeks between September and October, and will allow players additional time to work on their hitting, fielding, pitching and more.  Details and sign-up links will be shared in early September.

As you settle back into school and hear from your coach what team you will be a part of, I hope the anticipation for fall ball starts to build for you and your player as it has been for our coaches and front office volunteers.  We are excited to continue the rollout of our new SportsConnect services throughout the season, beginning with roster and schedule sharing that went live earlier this week for registered users (log into your SportsConnect account or check your email for  messages from "San Francisco Little League" with links to your roster and schedule).

These new programs and all of SFLL's services are made possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the dedication of our volunteers: the parents, extended families and friends of our players and alumni who donate their time to operate the league.  SFLL depends on the support of every family: don’t forget to ask your coach how you can help your team this season.  They will appreciate it!  Or click through this link and learn more about becoming a front office volunteer.

If at any time you have a question or concern about your or your player's experience, please don't hesitate to reach out to your coach, player agent, or a board member for support.  I look forward to seeing you out at the fields this season.  Play ball!
