Welcome to Girls' Softball! The SFLL Softball Program focuses on Fundamental skill development, creating lasting Friendships, sportsmanship based Fun, and preparing players for a Future in Softball.

SFLL Girls’ Softball Fall 2022 season planning is adapting in response to registration trends of the past few years.

For the 2019 and 2021 seasons, practice squads of 18-25 girls were formed to develop skills and play scrimmage games based on available players. Squads can be provided field space Sundays on Treasure Island or perhaps in the city if a coach and enough players register in time to make a request to Rec & Park.

If a surge of registrations come in for more than 40 players in any three-year age group, along with necessary coaching groups, the standard model of four competitive teams will again be possible. 

Age ranges of the practice squads will depend on registrations. For elementary ages, the goal is to have practice squads span two grades (eg 4th and 5th grade), but may span from 3rd to 5th or 4th to 6th, depending on the numbers. A middle school age group may also have few high school players.

FEES

Registration fees for the 2022 Fall Ball season are $275 for Farm and $350 for Kid-Pitch softball.

We want you to play ball with us regardless of economic circumstances. The online SFLL application form includes a menu option to request a fee waiver due to economic hardship, and offers options to pay a reduced fee--or to request a 100% fee waiver. You will also be asked to provide a brief statement online supporting your fee waiver request.

AGE OF CHILD 

For registration purposes, Little League age is the age of your child on December 31, 2022.

Our League is always looking for good coaches. Fall Ball is less demanding and a great way for new coaches to test the waters and for experienced coaches to keep in touch without the time demands of the Spring season. We hope to confirm coaches by mid-July so please get those applications in now.
