SF Nationals have extended their season, yet again. Facing a feisty Napa American squad for the third time, SFN pitching and offense proved too much for the Napa kids. Spencer Spivy pitched 3 strong innings, getting support up and down the line up. He was picked up by Ray Belkora, Jack Dyke, Charlie Moore and Cooper Foard, as we conserved arms for Saturday. Thanks to an offensive barrage that allowed us to think of our next game.
Spencer Spivy started us off in the 2nd by getting hit by a pitch for the third time in as many games, and wound up scoring on a hit by Matthew Sherman. Matthew came in on a wild pitch. Justin Williamson also had single, but left stranded. Nats up 2-1.
In the third inning, we sent 11 hitters to the plate, and scored 8 runs. Kevin Lo had 2 singles in the frame scoring twice. Cooper Foard had a double and a single. Jack Dyke had a double. Justin Williamson had a single. Rafael Cervantez cleared the bases with a double. Charlie Moore singled. SFN would not look back.
In the 5th, we plated two more on three hits, and some extremely aggressive base running,
SFN moves on to face the Section 2 winner on Saturday in Danville at Los Cerros Middle School in Danville. The action will start at 4:00. We'd love to see some friendly faces out there.
We could not be prouder of the efforts of the boys to this point. But, there is a lot more baseball ahead of them
