Little League Parent/Spectator Survival List

For parents/spectators who are new to spring baseball in San Francisco, we have prepared a list of items to help you have fun and be comfortable.  For anyone who is new to SFLL,  spring baseball in SF can be one of the coldest spectator sports to watch.  Warm sunny days can turn instantly into foggy windy days.  Evening games are when the fog tends to blow in and many  fields are located in the coldest part of the city.  So to be ready we recommend the following:

1.  Have a set of folding chairs or blanket to sit on in the car.  While some fields have stands, many do not and  two hours is a long time to stand.

2.  ALWAYS have blankets and warm jackets  in the car so you are prepared.  Many families keep them in there all spring so they are always ready.  If you are particularly prone to being cold a hat and gloves are also a good idea.

3.  Look for places to sit which are protected from the wind (but no guarantees that there are any).

4. For all games other than those at Treasure Island Tepper (where there is a snack bar with warm food and drinks), bring snacks and drinks for the game (especially any sibling spectators).

5. Bring something to entertain sibling spectators during the game (drawing materials, small games) as they can become bored.

6.  Have fun, this is part of the team bonding experience!!!
