Email The Registration Coordinator if you have questions

How to Register:
In order to register, you must:

  1. Complete a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT BASEBALL ONLINE REGISTRATION form
  2. If new to SFLL, provide us with a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport
  3. Ensure that fees of $175 are received by us at the SFLL office at 2521 Judah Street, San Francisco, CA 94122. If you register and we receive your fees by May 3, 2008 you are guaranteed a spot in the League. Registrations and fees after May 3, 2008 will be accepted on a space available basis.

Deadlines:
The deadline to register and ensure a spot is May 3 . If you want to play in the spring season and be assured a spot you must register by this date and submit fees. If you register after this date we will do our best to find you a spot but you must submit fees to be ensured a spot.

Paper Application Assistance:
For those without online access, SFLL can assist you for an additional fee of $25 per application to cover the cost of data input. Email the Registration Team or call the SFLL voicemail box at 263-0510 to make arrangements to process your application over the telephone.

Fees, Donations and Volunteers:
Our fees this year for the spring season are $175. SFLL registration assistance for those without online access is an additional $25 per application. As a reminder, SFLL is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. Player fees are the primary source of funding for all of our expenses (uniforms, insurance, fields, equipment, etc.). You will have an opportunity to make an additional donation to the League while registering. Registration is the only time we solicit gifts from our SFLL families. We hope you will contribute, if you can.

SFLL has a policy of denying no child access to our program for economic reasons. If paying all or part of the fee is not within your means, please write a brief note to that effect and submit it with the application and we will grant an appropriate fee waiver.

The registration process is an excellent way for interested parents to become involved in SFLL as volunteers. SFLL has no paid full time staff and its operation is 100% dependent on parents and other interested adults who give their time and effort to produce a great baseball/softball experience for the youth of San Francisco. Over half of our parents do volunteer each year in one or more roles. We need coaches, assistant coaches, umpires, team parents, as well as League-level volunteers. Please express your interest when registering.

Next Steps:
Once you have registered, here is what happens prior to the start of the season:

  1. Skills Evaluation Sessions (SES): Every player (new and returning) must attend a 60-90 minute SES. These are currently scheduled for May 17. While no players are cut, we do want to place players at the appropriate level and make sure our teams are well balanced. SES dates and times will be in early May and you will receive information about your SES assignment (contact us to arrange an alternative, if your assigned date/time is impossible). During the SES, there will be a short orientation/Q&A session for parents.
  2. By the middle of May all teams will have been formed and all players placed on a team. Coaches will contact thier players shortly thereafter.
  3.  The full schedule of games should be available shortly after team formation through your coach or the SFLL website.

We are excited about this coming season and expect it to be our best season ever. If you have questions, please email our Registration Team. Together with player agents for each division, their primary function is to look after the individual needs of the players. If you know of others who would be interested in playing this year, please pass the www.sfll.org  website on to them or direct them to our voice mailbox (263-0510) to leave their contact information.

It may be cold, wet and dark outside, but baseball is just around the corner. We hope you will decide to join (rejoin) the SFLL community this year.
