| Treasure Island Fields and Paul
Goode: The protocol is as
follows.
1.Decisions are to be made first by the two coaches who are playing on these fields. The two criteria are player safety and damage to the field. Coaches who play owhen they should not will find their games swapped to other fields. (In the case of Paul Goode, it is possible that the the field field will be marked closed in which case, the game must be cancelled regardless of the coaches decision). 2. Coaches can decide to cancel their game in advance without going out to the field. However, they must phone the umpire to relay their decision (umpires names and phone numbers can be found on the umpire page of the SFLL website). 3. If the coaches agree to show up for a game, then it is the umpires decision whether or not the game will be played. If there is no umpire, the coaches must confer and decide. There have been instances when coaches/parents have put pressure on umpires regarding this decision and this is just as inappropriate as arguing a call and will result in the same disciplinary consequences. If the field is unsafe, the game should not be played. This may be hard to do with parents and players all waiting to play, but safety is the first concern. |
| Ft. Scott Fields: Phone

1. If there is no answer or no message, you should use your judgment unless the field is marked closed or a field director tells you it is closed. 2. If it has been raining and there is no information on the hotline, coaches can decide to cancel their game in advance without going out to the field. However, they must phone the umpire to relay their decision (umpires names and phone numbers can be found on the umpire page of the website). 3.
