SFA 8 Twin Cities 3

At tonights game at Joe Wagner Field SFA played Twin Cities. The game was scoreless after 2 innings as both pitchers were pitching well and the defense on both sides were making all the plays. Twin Cities scratched out a run in the top half of the 3rd to go ahead 1-0. In the bottom half of the 3rd inning SFA  scored a run on some walks and a fielders choice. SFA then loaded the bases and got another run in on a walk to go ahead 2-1. With the bases still loaded, Andy Bussey delivered the big hit in the inning that drove in 2 more runs which put SFA up 4-1. Later in the inning, Charlie Dallape came up with a big two out base hit to drive in, yet, another run, making it 5-1. In the 4th, SFA got another clutch 2 out base hit by Jack Singer which scored the runner from 3rd. SFA now led 6-1. In the 5th SFA's starting pitcher Louis Gaitley who pitched brilliantly was able to get 2 batters out, but had to leave the game as he had reached the pitch count limit. Twin Cities then scratched out a couple of runs to close the gap, 6-3. In the bottom half of the 5th, RBI singles by Henry Little and Whit Urdan extended SFA's lead to 8-3. Kyle Wilkinson, working in relief then retired all 3 batters in the 6th.
