At a sweltering Joe Wagner field in Corte Madera, your SFN Little League All Stars went down 6-4 against a good Twin Cities team. After a scoreless couple of innings, TC opened their account in the top of the third with 4 runs, 3 runs coming on a HR. SFN replied with one in the bottom of the third and 3 to tie it up in the bottom of the fifth. TC however, managed to plate a couple of runs in the top of the sixth to take back the lead. Alas SFN failed to add to their run total in the sixth.
Andrew Ferraro pitched well for three innings and supplied a fine hit for good measure. Stephen Everest had 2 nice hits; one being a fine double scoring 2 runs in the fifth. Kyle Nelson also contributed 2 hits and scored twice. SFN made some fine defensive plays but it was not enough to overcome the early lack of hitting.
Next game for SFN is versus SFA at the friendly confines of Tepper field Tuesdya 6/30 at 5.30pm.
